Lars Norup

Lars Norup holds a Masters in Finance and Economics from Copenhagen University from 1988 and an Executive MBA from Melbourne University from 2003.

He has had senior positions in banks in both London and Copenhagen and has been Global Head of Sales and Origination at Rabobank, European Head of Derivatives Marketing & Structuring at RBS as well as Finance Director at a major Danish Corporate.

Lars Norup spent 11 years working in London.

Before joining Risk Repair, Lars Norup has since 2007 been Global Head of Derivatives Marketing & Structuring at Danske Bank. In this role - as well as in most of the London based roles - he has been responsible for the Solutions teams at these various institutions.

Lars Norup has for several years been an External Lecturer at the Copenhagen Business School and has written several books on Derivatives and Managing Financial Risks.

Lars Norup has been on the Board of a number of companies in both Luxembourg and in Germany.

Having grown up in a number of European countries, he speaks English, German, Danish and is suitably rusty in both French and Swedish.
